How Revelation 1:2 Stood Out

Revelation 1:2 (2024) – Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. [cf. v. 9 – I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Ex. 31:18 – And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. Is. 8:20 – To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Ex. 25:16 – And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee. Ex. 25:21 – And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. Ps. 19:7-11 – The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.]
