I John 1:4 (2023) – And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. [cf. John 15:11 – These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John 16:24 – Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. Acts 2:28 – Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. Ps. 16:11 – Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. I Pet. 1:6-9 – Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. II John 1:12 – Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. Ps. 5:11 – But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. Ps. 35:9 – And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation. Ps. 149:2 – Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Ps. 149:5 – Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Is. 56:6-7 – Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. Is. 61:10 – I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
