How Hebrews 11:7 Stood Out

Hebrews 11:7 (2021) – By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. ["imput* ... righteous*" (Rom. 4:6 – Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works; Rom. 4:11 – And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also; Rom. 4:20-22 – He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;1 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. James 2:23 – And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. CONTRAST Titus 3:5 – Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Is. 64:6 – But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Ezek. 33:13 – When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.]
