How Romans 14:7 Stood Out

Rom. 14:7 – For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

(2024) – For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. [cf. II Cor. 5:15 – And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. I Cor. 6:19-20 – What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Gal. 2:19-20 – For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Philip. 1:20-24 – According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. Titus 2:13-14 – Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. I Pet. 4:1-2 – Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. Ecc. 12:7 – Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.]

(2019) – For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. [cf. II Cor. 5:15; I Cor. 6:19-20; Gal. 2:19-20; Philip. 1:20-21; Titus 2:13-14; I Pet. 4:1-2; Ecc. 12:7]
