Acts 25:2 (2024) – Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him [cf. v. 15 – About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him. v. 23 – And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth. Luke 22:23-27 – And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing. And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
