Acts 10:43 (2024) – To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. [cf. Matt. 26:26-28 – And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Heb. 9:22 – And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Mark 1:4 – John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. Luke 1:76-78 – And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us; Luke 24:45-48 – Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Heb. 10:17-18 – And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Heb. 10:14 – For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Acts 2:38 – Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 23:39-43 – And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
