How John 11:49 Stood Out

John 11:49 (2024) – And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all [cf. v. 51 – And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; Heb. 3:1 – Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Heb. 4:14-16 – Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
