John 7:12 (2023) – And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people. [cf. Matt. 22:42 – Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. Luke 24:19 – And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people; Matt. 21:46 – But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. Mark 6:15 – Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets. Luke 7:16 – And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
