John 5:13 (2023) – And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. [cf. Matt. 16:20 – Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. Matt. 12:16 – And charged them that they should not make him known; Mark 3:12 – And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known. Mark 8:30 – And he charged them that they should tell no man of him. Luke 4:41 – And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. Matt. 9:30 – And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. Mark 1:44 – And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. Mark 5:43 – And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat. Mark 7:24 – And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid. Mark 7:36 – And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it; Mark 9:9 – And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead. Mark 9:30 – And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it. Luke 5:14 – And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. Luke 9:21 – And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing; John 7:1-8 – After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him. Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in him. Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come. Compare Matt. 7:6 – Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.] Back to Previous Page (Or to go back to where you left off you can use the "Back" button of your browser)
