John 5:13 (2023) – And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. [cf. Matt. 16:20 – Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. Matt. 12:16 – And charged them that they should not make him known; Mark 3:12 – And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known. Mark 8:30 – And he charged them that they should tell no man of him. Luke 4:41 – And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. Matt. 9:30 – And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. Luke 9:21 – And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing; John 7:1-8 – After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him. Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in him. Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
