John 1:39 (2023) – He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. [cf. I John 2:6 – He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. I John 2:27-28 – But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. I John 3:6 – Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. I John 1:8-10 – If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
