Luke 23:4 (2024) – Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. [cf. v. 10 – And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. v. 13 – And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people; v. 23 – And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed. Luke 22:23-27 – And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing. And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
