Luke 14:6 – And they could not answer him again to these things. (2024) – And they could not answer him again to these things. [cf. Matt. 22:46 – And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions. Mark 12:34 – And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question. Luke 20:40 – And after that they durst not ask him any question at all. Luke 13:17 – And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. Acts 6:9-10 – Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
