How Mark 13:16 Stood Out

Mark 13:16 (2021) – And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. [cf. Luke 17:31-32 – In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Gen. 19:17,26 – And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed ... But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt; Luke 9:62 – And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.]
