Mark 13:14 (2021) – But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains [cf. Neh. 8:8 – So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. Eph. 3:4 – Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ; Dan. 9:2 – In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Is. 34:16 – Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. Jer. 36:6 – Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD'S house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities. Luke 4:16 – And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. Acts 13:27 – For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. Acts 15:21 – For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. Acts 15:30-31 – So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle: Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation. II Cor. 1:13 – For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end; Col. 4:16 – And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea. I Thess. 5:27 – I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren. I Tim. 4:13 – Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Matt. 21:42 – Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
