How Mark 12:4 Stood Out

Mark 12:4 – And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.

(2024) – And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. [cf. Ps. 68:21 – But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses. Ps. 110:5-6 – The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. Is. 1:5-6 – Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. Hab. 3:13 – Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah. Rev. 13:1-3 – And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. Gen. 3:14-15 – And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.]

(2020) – And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. ["wound* ... head*" (6 verses); "bruis* ... head*" (2 verses)]
