Mat. 20:15 – Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? (2024) – Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? [cf. Prov. 28:22 – He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. Mark 7:20-23 – And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
