How Matthew 14:8 Stood Out

Matthew 14:8 (2024) – And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger. [cf. Song 8:2 – I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate. Prov. 1:8-9 – My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck. Acts 4:19 – But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. Acts 5:29 – Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
