Matthew 11:2 (2024) – Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples [cf. Mark 14:13 – And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him. Mark 11:1 – And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples; Luke 19:29 – And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples; Mark 6:7 – And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; Luke 10:1 – After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
