How Amos 2:7 Stood Out

Amos 2:7 (2023) – That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name [cf. Lev. 18:8 – The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness. Lev. 20:11 – And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. Lev. 18:15 – Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. Lev. 20:12 – And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.]
