How Jeremiah 46:6 Stood Out

Jeremiah 46:6 (2024) – Let not the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; they shall stumble, and fall toward the north by the river Euphrates. [cf. v. 12 – The nations have heard of thy shame, and thy cry hath filled the land: for the mighty man hath stumbled against the mighty, and they are fallen both together. I Pet. 2:6-8 – Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. I John 2:10 – He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. ]
