Jeremiah 21:5 (2023) – And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath. [cf. II Chr. 13:12 – And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper. Acts 5:39 – But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. Acts 23:9 – And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.]
