Proverbs 3:2 (2024) – For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. [cf. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. II Chr. 1:11-12 – And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. Prov. 4:10 – Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. Prov. 9:10-11 – The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
