This page may have some technical imperfections, but is made available before inspection for you to benefit from the majority of material that likely has no problems.

Ps. 118:18 – The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

(2024) – The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death. [cf. Jer. 30:10-11 – Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. Jer. 46:28 – Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished. Compare Job 2:6 – And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.]

(2021) – The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death. [cf. Job 2:6 – And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.]
