Ps. 42:2 – My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

(2024) – My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? [cf. II Cor. 5:8-10 – We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.]

(2022) – My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? [cf. Ex. 33:15 – And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. Ps. 16:11 – Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Ps. 31:20 – Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. Ps. 51:11 – Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Ps. 140:13 – Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.]
