Psalms 37:9 (2026) – For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. [cf. v. 11 – But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. v. 18 – The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. v. 22 – For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. v. 29 – The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. v. 34 – Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. I Pet. 1:3-9 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
