How Job 22:25 Stood Out

Job 22:25 (2026) – Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. [cf. Job 22:25 – Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. Ps. 7:10 – My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. Ps. 31:1-3 – In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. Ps. 59:9 – Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence. Ps. 59:16-17 – But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy. Ps. 62:1-2 – Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. Ps. 62:5-6 – My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. Ps. 89:18 – For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king. Ps. 94:22 – But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. Compare Philip. 1:15-18 – Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. ]
