Job 19:9 (2023) – He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head. [compare James 3:14 – But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. I Thess. 2:6 – Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. I Pet. 1:24-25 – For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. I Pet. 5:4 – And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. I Pet. 5:10 – But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Jer. 9:24 – But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. I Cor. 1:31 – That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. II Cor. 10:17 – But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.]
