How Job 14:6 Stood Out

Job 14:6 (2023) – Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day. [cf. 7:1 – Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling? 14:14 – If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Heb. 9:27-28 – And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Ps. 90:10-12 – The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.]
