Job 5:16 (2024) – So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth. [cf. Job 5:13-16 – He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. Heb. 11:32-33 – And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions; Job 40:1-5 – Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said, Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
