Esther 2:23 (2024) – And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king. [cf. Deu. 21:22-23 – And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. Gal. 3:13 – Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree; Ps. 37:22 – For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. Ps. 119:21 – Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.]
