How Esther 2:16 Stood Out

Esther 2:16 (2021) – So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. [It had been between three and four years since Vashti the queen had been put away from the king (1:3ff). We do not know how long it was before the king started taking in other women, but very likely he had been through three years of women before Esther was brought to him.]
