How Nehemiah 13:14 Stood Out

Nehemiah 13:14 (2024) – Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof. [cf. v. 22 – And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy. v. 31 – And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good. Gen. 8:1 – And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged; Gen. 19:29 – And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt. Gen. 30:22 – And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb. Deu. 8:18 – But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Jer. 51:50 – Ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind. I Sam. 1:19 – And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.]
