How Nehemiah 2:5 Stood Out

Neh. 2:5 – And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.


(2024) – And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it. [cf. Ps. 5:12 – For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Prov. 3:3-4 – Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Prov. 28:23 – He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.]
