I Chronicles 26:12 (2024) – Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men, having wards one against another, to minister in the house of the LORD. [cf. v. 20 – And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things. v. 22 – The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother, which were over the treasures of the house of the LORD. v. 27 – Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD. Compare I Cor. 3:16-17 – Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. I Cor. 6:18-20 – Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. II Cor. 6:14-16 – Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
