I Chronicles 17:5 (2021) – For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another. [The ark of the covenant, where the LORD ... dwelleth between the cherubims (I Sam. 4:4), was first placed in the tabernacle constructed in the wilderness (Ex. 40:2-3). Later it was moved to the tabernacle that David had pitched for it (II Sam. 6:17).]
