I Chronicles 11:25 (2022) – Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three: and David set him over his guard. [cf. I Thess. 4:3-4 – For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; II Tim. 2:16,19,21 – But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. ... Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. ...If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. I Pet. 1:6-7 – Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ]
