[A few verses earlier we find a record of Hezekiah and this city delivered out of the hand of the king of Assyria (19:32-37). This likely means that the first part of chapter 20 occurred chronologically before the last part of chapter 19, especially since chapter 20 begins with In those days. It is also possible that another deliverance occurred later, since after the king of Assyria was murdered, Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead (19:37). One victory or deliverance does not preclude the need for another one later on.]
