Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. COMPARE "pure ... heart*" (Ps. 24:3-4 – Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. Matt. 5:8 – Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. I Tim. 1:5 – Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned; II Tim. 2:22 – Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
