I Kings 22:16 – And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD? (2023) – And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD? [cf. II Cor. 1:18 – But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. II Sam. 7:28 – And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant; Ps. 119:160 – Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Rev. 21:1-5,27 – And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
