[cf. Num. 2:9 – All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were an hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set forth. Num. 7:12 – And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah; Num. 10:14 – In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab. Judg. 20:18 – And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? Zech. 12:7 – The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. Heb. 7:14 – For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
