How II Samuel 18:6 Stood Out

II Samuel 18:6 (2021) – So the people went out into the field against Israel: and the battle was in the wood of Ephraim [This was not the territory belonging to Ephraim, which was west of the Jordan, because Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead (II Sam. 17:26), which was east of the Jordan. Some think it is where Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim (Judg. 12:4).]
