How II Samuel 3:1 Stood Out

II Samuel 3:1 (2022) – Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker. [cf. Prov. 24:5 – A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. Acts 9:22 – But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ. Luke 1:80 – And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel. Luke 2:40 – And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. Compare Prov. 4:18 – But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.]
