How I Samuel 23:9 Stood Out

I Samuel 23:9 (2022) – And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod. [cf. Ps. 64:5 – They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? Ps. 10:8 – He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. Ps. 142:3 – When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me. II Pet. 2:1 – But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. Ps. 101:5 – Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
