How I Samuel 21:4 Stood Out

I Samuel 21:4 (2026) – And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women. [cf. v. 6 – So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away. Lev. 22:32 – Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you; Ex. 40:9 – And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.]
