How I Samuel 14:10 Stood Out

I Samuel 14:10 (2026) – But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up: for the LORD hath delivered them into our hand: and this shall be a sign unto us. [cf. Is. 38:7 – And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken; Ezek. 20:20 – And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God. Luke 2:12 – And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Matt. 12:38-41 – Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.]
