I Samuel 12:11 (2021) – And the LORD sent Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and
Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies
on every side, and ye dwelled safe. [Bedan
means "in Dan," and some say it is the same as Bendan, which means "son of
Dan." Therefore some take this to be Samson, who was a Danite, although
there was a Bedan who was a Gileadite, from the tribe of Manasseh (I Chr.
