Judges 8:4 (2022) – And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them. [cf. II Cor. 4:8-9 – We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; II Cor. 4:16 – For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. Gal. 6:9 – And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Heb. 12:1-4 – Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
