How Judges 5:2 Stood Out

Judges 5:2 (2022) – Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. [cf. v. 9 – My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD. Rom. 12:1-2 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. I John 3:16 – Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. [We can lay down our lives in service day by day.]; II Cor. 12:15 – And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved. II Cor. 8:12-14 – For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality]
