How Deuteronomy 18:13 Stood Out

Deu. 18:13 – Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.


(2025) – Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. [cf. Matt. 5:48 – Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Is. 18:5 – For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches. [Indicates that perfect has a meaning of "mature".]; I Thess. 3:10 – Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? [Indicates that perfect has a meaning of "complete".] I Cor. 13:11 – When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.]
