How Deuteronomy 9:16 Stood Out

Deuteronomy 9:16 (2026) – And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you. [compare Prov. 1:16 – For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. Is. 59:7 – Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. Mal. 3:5 – And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts. II Pet. 2:1 – But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. Rev. 2:5 – Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Rev. 2:16 – Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. Rev. 22:12 – And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.]
